Xiaomi YU7 Enters Countdown to Launch: Long Range + High Performance, Sparking Huge Anticipation!

Recently, Xiaomi’s second car, the YU7, has quietly arrived at some offline dealerships, signaling that this highly anticipated model is entering the final countdown before its official debut. According to insiders, the YU7 — a key product in Xiaomi’s “dual flagship strategy” — was previously showcased discreetly at the company’s Beijing headquarters and is expected to officially launch between June and July 2025.
 

According to information disclosed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Xiaomi YU7 SUV will offer a long-range version, model XMA6500LBEVR3, boasting an impressive CLTC range of up to 835 km, energy consumption of just 13.3 kWh/100 km, and a curb weight of 2,315 kg. This outstanding range places the Xiaomi YU7 among the top contenders in its class, helping ease concerns about long-distance travel in an EV.


 

In terms of powertrain, the YU7 follows the Xiaomi SU7’s layout, offering both single- and dual-motor versions. The single-motor variant delivers up to 235 kW, sufficient for everyday driving, while the dual-motor version comes in two power levels: a lower-output variant with 130 kW front and 235 kW rear motors, and a high-performance version with 220 kW front and 288 kW rear motors, expected to achieve 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 3 seconds — rivaling luxury performance cars.
 

As for pricing, many auto bloggers estimate that the Xiaomi car YU7’s starting price will be about 30,000–50,000 RMB ($4,200–$7,000) higher than the Xiaomi SU7. This suggests a main price range of 250,000–300,000 RMB ($35,200–$42,200), putting it in direct competition with the Tesla Model Y and IM LS6. However, given Xiaomi’s reputation for strong value-for-money offerings, the final pricing may still surprise us.
 

With the YU7 Xiaomi now appearing in showrooms, the mystery around this new model is gradually lifting. Based on its revealed specs, the YU7 already shows impressive product strength. Combined with Xiaomi’s smart ecosystem, it may become a hot favorite among younger buyers looking for both fun and practicality.
