On the side, the vehicle boasts a dynamic fastback silhouette combined with a floating roof design, which emphasizes the 3D shape of the body. Hidden door handles and 21-inch dual-tone multi-spoke wheels further underline its futuristic EV character.At the rear, the full-width taillights echo the front design, with red light strips artfully combined with black trim for a bold visual effect.

Interior Configuration
 

The 2025 Toyota bZ5 interior embraces a minimalist design, featuring a slim digital instrument panel and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen for a tech-savvy feel. A 1.44㎡ panoramic sunroof with Low-E and Ag2 coating glass effectively blocks 99.98% of UV rays and 99.3% of infrared rays, ensuring a comfortable cabin experience.

In terms of features, the vehicle is equipped with 10 JBL speakers, twin subwoofers in the front center console, and an onboard fragrance system offering three scent options: “Snowy Cloud Mountain,” “Crimson Whisper,” and “Amber Glow.” These, combined with 256-color ambient lighting, enhance the luxurious and personalized atmosphere.

Intelligent Driving System

The bZ5 is equipped with the advanced Toyota Pilot intelligent driving system, jointly developed by Momenta 5.0 and TSS. A suite of sensors—including a roof-mounted LiDAR, 11 cameras, and 5 mm-wave radars—enables over 30 functions such as city and highway navigation assist, automated parking, and more. These features help reduce driver fatigue and improve overall safety.
 

Powertrain

The powertrain is provided by BYD’s Fudi Power and features a TZ200XS003 single motor, delivering a maximum output of 200 kW and peak torque of 330 N·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.5 seconds.In terms of battery options, the bZ5 offers two LFP (lithium iron phosphate) blade batteries: 65.28 kWh and 73.984 kWh, with CLTC ranges of 550 km and 630 km, respectively.Additionally, the bZ5 supports 90 kW fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 27 minutes, while 7 kW slow charging takes 8.5 hours—fully meeting the needs of daily commuting and long-distance travel.
 

Market Outlook

In the highly competitive 150,000–200,000 RMB (approx. $20,000–$28,000) mid-size electric SUV segment, the bZ5 faces strong rivals like the Leapmotor C10, Deepal S07, and ARCFOX T5.
