Some time ago, I upgraded my car Xiaomi SU7 with the latest Black Mamba electronically controlled shock absorber system, which instantly improved the overall handling, and made it really more ground-hugging and confident to drive!

The tuning shop I went to this time is an old shop recommended by a friend and has a lot of experience. They gave a full set of modifications, including shock system upgrades, low profile tuning, carbon fibre front shovels, side skirts, tail fins, and so on, which made my heart skip a beat. Later I also added custom tuned wheels and high performance brake calipers, which took the look and performance to the next level.

After the modification, the most intuitive feeling is that its response speed is simply unbeatable. Officially, it is able to achieve 40ms extremely fast response, 1000 times per second real-time data acquisition and dynamic adjustment, and this is indeed true in practice. Before passing speed bumps or potholes, the body will always have obvious bumps, now the shock absorber system can instantly respond to the feeling of bumps has been greatly weakened, as if the car is equipped with an intelligent ‘shock absorbing brain’, real-time adjustments to the suspension state, so that the driving has become incredibly silky smooth.

I was also pleasantly surprised by its Intelligent Terrain Adaptation (AI) function, which is like a caring driving assistant that analyses tyre position and road conditions in real time, and actively optimises suspension parameters. I've tried driving in different road conditions, whether it's a flat tarmac road in the city or a pothole-ridden trail in the countryside, the Black Mamba electronically controlled shock absorbers are perfectly adapted. And it also supports four modes of free switching, comfort mode, daily commuting, not to mention how comfortable, shock absorption effect is superb; sports mode, the cornering of the lateral inclination is significantly reduced, the sense of control straight up, drive up super strong!

Overall, it was a very good decision to modify the Black Mamba electric shock absorbers on the Xiaomi SU7. It has improved the driving experience of my car in terms of comfort, handling and reliability.
