BYD Limited, China's leading new energy vehicle maker, sold 262,161 vehicles in July 2023, up 61.3 percent from a year earlier and 3.6 percent from the previous month, according to sales data released this week. It is also its highest monthly delivery volume ever.
Of the new cars sold last month, 261,105 were passenger cars, up 60.96% from a year earlier.
Specifically, battery-electric vehicles accounted for 51.62 percent of BYD's photovoltaic sales in July, while plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) accounted for 48.38 percent share. Meanwhile, BYD announced 18,169 PV exports in July.

The Dynasty and Ocean series sold 249,959 units in July, up 54.1 percent from the same period last year, while BYD's high-end car brand Denza sold 11,146 units. In the first seven months of this year, BYD's cumulative sales increased 88.81% from the previous year to 1,517,798 units, including 1,509,266 electric vehicles (up 88.57% year on year) and 8,532 commercial vehicles (up 143.15%).
