Currently, all seven battery swapping stations of Rising Auto in Shanghai have been put into operation. In addition, the construction of battery swapping stations in more than 10 cities, including Beijing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Wuhan, and Zhengzhou, is also underway. According to the plan, Rising Auto aims to establish more than 50 battery swapping stations nationwide by the end of this year.
The new battery swapping technology introduced by Rising Auto includes five key features:
First, Rising Auto said it boasts the only technology in the industry that supports uninterrupted power during the battery swapping process. Functions such as air conditioning and seat massage in the vehicle can continue operating, and the infotainment system can be used normally during the battery swapping process.
Second, the battery swap speed has been significantly improved. The newly developed omnidirectional floating locking platform adapts to the vehicle's position through four high-precision locating pins, regardless of the vehicle's entering position at the battery swap station. At the same time, Rising Auto's self-developed Quick Click patented technology ensures efficient battery positioning and replacement. The entire battery swapping process only takes 2.5 minutes, and the next-generation battery swapping station will take only 90 seconds.
Third, the safety of the battery swapping station has been comprehensively enhanced. Rising Auto's active fire suppression technology can automatically move any potentially risky batteries to the built-in fire-fighting water tank in the battery compartment. In the event of a risk, it will automatically or manually spray fire suppression agents to suppress electrical fires.
Furthermore, Rising Auto's all-new battery swapping stations also provide higher single-station battery storage capacity in the industry. Its next-generation battery swapping stations will reserve up to 40 battery packs, allowing for up to 560 battery swaps per day.
