On July 16, XPENG held the “XPENG LIVE: PHYSICAL AI FOR ALL” brand event and
MONA L03 global launch ceremony in Munich, Germany. XPENG Chairman He Xiaopeng delivered his entire speech in English for the first time at a global launch event outside China, showcasing the company’s strategic vision of “In Europe, for Europe”.This marks the first time XPENG has held a global launch event outside China. MONA L03 is also XPENG’s first global model to be launched simultaneously in China and Europe, with synchronized release and market introduction.Designed under the leadership of JuanMa Lopez, former Ferrari exterior design director and current Vice President of Design at XPENG, MONA L03 follows the design philosophy of “Vital Flow 流动的生命力”. The wide-body fastback profile, frameless doors, flush side windows, and ultra-wide curved rear windshield create a smooth and dynamic appearance. The vehicle achieves an impressive drag coefficient of Cd0.228.MONA L03 offers six exterior colors, including Aurora Purple, Crescent Silver, Midnight Black, Star Twilight Purple, Wumeizi Sauce, and Eucalyptus Grey.
As a globally developed model, MONA L03 was designed, engineered, and tested according to international market standards and user preferences.Before the launch event, He Xiaopeng personally traveled to Germany to complete the localization validation test of
XPENG’s second-generation Turing VLA model.This intelligent driving system, originally trained based on complex Chinese road environments, requires almost no additional training to adapt to European roads. It can handle urban main roads, narrow streets, sharp curves, and complex traffic scenarios while performing autonomous detours and smooth pedestrian avoidance.The second-generation VLA model can now recognize complicated European road signs and understand local traffic regulations and right-of-way systems. XPENG has become the first Chinese automaker to use the same AI model architecture across both Chinese and European markets.All versions of
MONA L03 are equipped with XPENG’s self-developed Turing AI Chip. The Max version features a single chip with an effective computing power of
750 TOPS, while the Ultra SE version adopts dual chips with up to
1500 TOPS of computing power.
The second-generation VLA model supports both L2 intelligent driving assistance and future L4 autonomous driving applications through the same architecture. XPENG’s L4-level Robotaxi equipped with this technology has officially entered employee testing.Starting from
2027, XPENG plans to gradually deliver intelligent driving systems better adapted to local road environments for global users.For overseas markets, XPENG has also introduced Google Maps services and developed a localized in-car navigation experience through Auto SDK, becoming the first automaker in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve this level of cooperation.
