Chery iCAR V27 Global Debut Set for Dubai, Hardcore Flagship SUV to Make Its Debut

Chery Automobile's iCar brand has unveiled a brand-new hardcore SUV—the iCAR V27. The new model will be named ‘iCAR V27’ in the Chinese market, while in Russia and other overseas markets, it will be launched under the ‘iCAUR’ brand name.
The company recently released a set of new camouflaged images, showcasing the overall design silhouette of the V27. The new model continues the iCar brand's rugged style, featuring a square body silhouette and bold lines. The front fascia is equipped with a large-sized grille, paired with rectangular headlights and integrated LED daytime running lights, creating a strong visual impact. The sides feature wide wheel arches and vertical roof lines, emphasising its off-road character; the rear adopts vertical taillights and an external spare tyre, evoking a strong resemblance to the Land Rover Defender.

Although the official specifications for the vehicle's dimensions have not yet been disclosed, according to Chery's Russian subsidiary, the V27's length is approximately 5 metres, positioning it as a mid-to-large-sized SUV. In comparison, the existing iCar product line includes the iCar 03 and iCar V23, with lengths of 4,406 millimetres and 4,220 millimetres respectively, making the V27 the largest flagship model in the brand's lineup.
In terms of interior design, while details have not been fully revealed, based on the released images, the V27 is expected to feature a large independent central control screen and the latest generation of intelligent connectivity systems, enhancing the cabin's technological sophistication.

In terms of powertrain, overseas media speculate that the V27 will adopt a hybrid system, including a 1.5T turbocharged gasoline engine, and will offer an all-wheel-drive version. However, details regarding the electric motor, battery, and other specifications remain to be officially revealed.
As a key model for iCar's overseas expansion, the iCAR (iCAUR) V27 will not only be launched simultaneously in the Russian market but is also expected to spark a new wave of interest in rugged SUVs in other export markets such as the Middle East.
