Recently, the new BYD Song L/Song Pro DM-i models made their public debut. As facelifted variants, both vehicles feature minimal changes to their exterior and interior designs, with adjustments focused on refined details. In terms of powertrain, certain configurations and pure electric range specifications have been optimised. It is reported that the new BYD Song L/Song Pro DM-i models are expected to launch on 16th October.
New Song Pro DM-i
Exterior-wise, the 2026 BYD Song Pro DM-i retains its overall design with minor refinements. For instance, the front bumper's air intake now incorporates an active grille function, while the front fascia remains largely unchanged from the 2025 model.

Inside, the most notable change is the adoption of an electronic gear selector. The centre console area now incorporates a lower air vent, a wireless charging pad, and a single row of physical function buttons. Additionally, a new interior colour option, Wei Yang Grey, will be introduced.

Powertrain-wise, the model retains its 1.5L plug-in hybrid system, where the petrol engine delivers 74kW and the electric motor 120kW. The Song Pro DM-i offers two lithium iron phosphate battery capacities: 12.9kWh and 18.3kWh, yielding pure electric ranges of 75km and 115km respectively under CLTC testing. Notably, a new variant with a 133km range will be introduced.

New Song L DM-i
Externally, the 2026 BYD Song L DM-i retains much of the 2025 model's design language, with the most noticeable change being the replacement of conventional door handles with semi-concealed units. The large front grille remains paired with a dot-matrix mesh insert, while sculpted side skirts and black wheel arches lend the vehicle a more muscular stance.

Powertrain-wise, the 2026 BYD Song L DM-i discontinues the entry-level 75km variant. The existing 112km model upgrades to 130km, while the 160km variant increases to 200km. The vehicle retains its 1.5L plug-in hybrid system, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 74kW and the electric motor producing 160kW. Battery options include 12.9kWh, 18.3kWh, and 26.6kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, offering pure electric ranges of 75km, 112km, and 160km respectively under CLTC testing conditions.
