Mercedes-Benz launches VAN.EA electrified platform

Recently, Mercedes-Benz has stated that from 2026 onwards, mid-size and large MPVs will be built on the new electric architecture VAN.EA. Under the new architecture, luxury MPVs will be significantly different from commercial vehicles. For example, luxury MPVs will be built on the new platform VAN.EA-P and commercial vehicles will be built on VAN.EA-C, with P standing for premium and C for commercial. The first model of this architecture will be the successor to the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter.


With the new architecture, the Mercedes-Benz MPV will also use the forthcoming MB.OS entertainment system and the new vehicle will also be ready for intelligent internet connection.

The Mercedes-Benz MPV built on the VAN.EA architecture will have a range of at least 500 km and will be available as a front-wheel drive single-motor version or as a two-motor all-wheel drive panel. The new vehicle will also have an autonomous driving assistance system in the L2 class and will be followed by an autonomous driving assistance system in the L3 class.
