Exterior

The exterior of the new Volkswagen Sagitar has been completely redesigned. The front grille is now more compact, flanked by newly styled headlights featuring IQ.LIGHT technology. A full-width LED light strip runs below the grille, and the illuminated Volkswagen logo in the center adds a modern touch. The front bumper features black accents, a trapezoidal air intake, and aerodynamic vents on both sides, enhancing its sporty appearance.

From the side, the Sagitar adopts a fastback-style design with a dual-crease waistline and hidden door handles. These handles support unlocking via touch, key fob, or sensing, and also have de-icing functionality. At the rear, a full-width taillight design is paired with an illuminated Volkswagen logo and a bold “SAGITAR” badge in the center, boosting its visual identity.

In terms of size, the new Volkswagen Sagitar measures 4812/1813/1479 mm, with a wheelbase of 2731 mm. Compared to the Volkswagen Sagitar 2025, the new version is longer and wider, although the wheelbase remains unchanged. It comes equipped with 18-inch dual-tone wheels wrapped in 225/45 R18 tires, adding a touch of refinement and sportiness.

Interior

Inside, the Volkswagen Sagitar interior features a digital instrument cluster paired with a large central touchscreen, while still retaining a few physical buttons for key functions. It uses a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and replaces the traditional gear lever with a steering column-mounted electronic shifter. Practical features such as front wireless phone charging and cup holders are also included to improve everyday usability.

Powertrain and Performance

The 2026 Volkswagen Sagitar will be powered by a 1.5T turbocharged engine (300TSI) delivering a maximum output of 118 kW, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The power figures remain consistent with the current model. However, it is still unclear whether the existing 1.2T version will be retained — stay tuned for further official announcements.
